Born in England, made in China.
Probably an accurate description of me, since my first glimpse of Asia when I arrived in Hong Kong 2006 and marvelled at the famous skyline the country has held my interest.
8 times I have been around China, visiting some wonderful places, meeting people and sampling all the food. Now I have moved from the west to settle with my wife in this mysterious land. Despite the internet and a more open China there are many places of interest that people won’t see or different views of the famous ones. That is where I fit in, I want to show a different side and I think I am in the perfect position to do so.
Follow me as I search for more places, modern and ancient to show the world.
For all the geeks out there, I am an avid Nikon user and whilst some of my previous work was on a D200 I am now using a D7100. I have used Nikons for over 30 years and love their quality and usability. We all have our favourite lenses and my go to is now a Nikon 10-24, this I find will do me for almost 80% of my photos. Supplementing this I have my Sigma 18-50 f2.8 plus Nikon 35, 50, 85 and 18-140. On very rare occasions I pull out a 75-300.
This year I will be hoping to add a 2nd body, not an upgrade as I love my 7100 but something similar so I can carry 2 bodies and 2 lenses with no need to change.
Of course this all gets carried around in one of my many Lowepro bags, along with my Velbon tripod and Manfrotto monopod. I think thats just enough name dropping now.
